Company visit by Lions Club Bern-Grauholz

On July 2, 2018, CI Tech Components AG could welcome the Lions Club Bern-Grauholz, Switzerland in its headquarters.

Under the heading “Geld & Geist” (Money & mind) Lions Club president Rudolf Freunbichler and 18 members of the section Bern-Grauholz have visited our headquarters for gaining an insight into the automated banknote processing technology.

Sales & Marketing director Christoph Mätzig launched the event with an overview of CI Tech’s core markets and competencies. An interactive animation displayed how our products automatically process banknote transactions including depositing and recycling functions.

In the following part Andreas Müller from the Technical Customer Support pointed up some of the biggest challenges within the industry: The efficient handling of multinational currencies, reliable banknote quality sorting as well as the secure handling of counterfeits. In a live demonstration the Lions Club members got handed out banknotes from various currencies to discover the visible security features. Selected pictures out of the field demonstrated how counterfeiters tried to copy these features. After an interesting question and answer session related on banknote security aspects, the event successfully ended with a tour through the production facilities.

Rudolf Freunbichler, president of the Lions Club Bern-Grauholz commented on the visit saying: “It was an amazing experience to visit CI Tech in Burgdorf. We are very proud to have this company with its high technical knowledge in banknote sensor technology here in Switzerland”.

CI Tech Components AG would like to thank all Lions Club Bern-Grauholz members for their visit and the interesting exchange on our core business.
