On January 1st, 2023, Croatia became the 20th member of the eurozone, replacing its kuna with the euro. The kuna can be used alongside the euro until January 15th, before being completely replaced by the euro. The kuna will be exchanged at a conversion rate of €1 to HRK7.5. According to the European Commission 70% of ATMs in the country already distribute euros.

Today the European Central Bank (ECB) launched the second survey about the payment attitudes and behaviors of euro area citizens within the Eurosystem. The ECB collected data in 17 euro countries through a survey of a random sample of population. The final report shows the following 8 key results.
